Giving Back
Flare Fabrics is a proud sponsor of Victoria's Quilts of Canada. This volunteer organization makes and donates quilts to Canadians who have cancer. Started in 1998, there are now 800 volunteers in 30 branches across the country. At last count almost 28,000 quilts have been shipped! Other worthwhile projects are listed below.
- Project Linus - Looking for quilts, afghans or blankets for children to whom a loving blanket will add a bit of sunshine in their lives
- Conkerr Cancer - Sew a pillowcase for children and teens spending too many hours in hospital.
- Akonye Kena - Which means "I will help myself" in tribal Ugandan, this is an organization helping women and youth at risk become self-sufficient through selling of tangible products, including quilt kits.
Send us a photo of one of you're blankets or pillowcases and Flare Fabrics will contribute to your stash with a 20% discount on your next purchase.
