Pantone has released their colour of 2013 – it’s emerald!
“Lively. Radiant. Lush… A color of elegance and beauty
that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony.”

The emerald, replaces the Tangerine orange of 2012. Certainly we saw how the Pantone selection influence dfashion throughout the year.

2011 was Honeysuckle.

Here are the trending colors from the past decade:
2000: Cerulean
2001: Fuchsia Rose
2002: True Red
2003: Aqua Sky
2004: Tigerlily
2005: Blue Turquoise
2006: Sand Dollar
2007: Chili Pepper
2008: Blue Iris
2009: Mimosa
2010: Turquoise

I am to say that I am not thrilled that there is a group of people who chose the color that we are to be gaga over. I personally did not like this year’s color or next. I will stay with the colors I like. Call me unfashionable but I like to be an individual.
It is an interesting phenomenon that Pantone has such sway over the interior design industry in particular. Can’t say I disagree with you Lisa.
