A few last-minute Thanksgiving project ideas

Canadian Thanksgiving happens every year on the second Monday of October. It is a time to give thanks for the harvest and other good things that have happened over the past year. This year it falls on Monday, October 8th. That makes this coming weekend Thanksgiving weekend!

Whether you are hosting your own Thanksgiving dinner, or going to someone else’s, this holiday is the perfect time to sew some little projects as gifts, or to make your home extra festive. And since it’s a long weekend, you might even be able to get all these projects done! Here are a few ideas:

Table Runner:

Coaster Set:

How about a quick coaster set? Use up some of your scraps, or match your tablerunner or other décor. Here’s a quick link to a tutorial from The Craftinomicon:

Napkin Rings

Here is a tutorial on how to make solid napkin rings using a toilet paper roll, scrap fabric and some Modge Podge. It’s a quick and easy project, but make sure you leave enough time for them to dry before setting your table with them!

Wine Tote

What better way to deliver wine than in an adorable handmade holder? Check out this tutorial for a quilted wine tote!
